Excuses Are Like Armpits: Everyone Has Them And They Stink

At Efficient Exercise, we train clients of all ages. I’ve trained as young as 10 and as advanced at 89. My more advanced, less naturally athletic clients can develop an intimidation factor as they get stronger. They feel they’re getting stronger but when they look at the weight load they’re using, it plays all sorts of head games with them. Couple this with the acceptance of the notion that aging “must” include slowing down and extraordinary aches and pains and you get a recipe for a client undermining their own efforts in the gym.

For these clients I present exhibit A:

    Awesome lady! That’s what I am going for in my old age!
    She is clearly taking care of her body. not eating any junk.
    Look at her skin 🙂 heck, look at her body
