More Motivation: The Flying Nonagenarian

December 2, 2010

At Efficient Exercise Westlake, I have a the largest concentration of clients 55 and up of any of our studios. I like to joke that I spend my days charming women over 60. Part of my job, especially for new clients, is to convince them that they’re capable of doing amazing things with their bodies: increasing strength substantially, being able to move like a young adult, add more bone mass, etc. They don’t believe me, as I’m a snot-nosed 27 year old. Since I can’t dig them up and say “SEE!” when I’m 100, posting things like this New York Times Article about a 91 year old long jumper should suffice. Prepare to be amazed.

Thanks for your article. Most of my clients are over forty also. Since I am too, I think I am able to relate to them well. I know what its like to have the aches and pains of “experience”.
