The Establishment is Finally Coming Around

…albeit slowly; painfully so…

To wit: the December 2010 issue of the American Journal of Medicine published an article, (Achieving Hunter-gatherer Fitness in the 21st Century: Back to the Future), which advocates, among additional smart, healthy lifestyle changes, the implementation of “…Regular sessions of weight training and other strength and flexibility building exercises [that] are essential for optimizing musculoskeletal and general health and fitness. These need to be performed at least 2 or 3 times per week, for at least 20 to 30 minutes per session…”

Of course, this is hardly breaking news to those of us here at Efficient Exercise — in fact, we’ve been evangelizing the same message for the last decade.  And ensuring that this message is broadcast far and wide is the very impetus behind  Project Transformation: The Efficient Exercise Solution.  Not for self-serving reasons, but because, it is our firm belief that no healthcare system can be created that will not ultimately implode under the weight of a diseased citizenry.  Rather than merely lament this fact, though, we’re out to actually do something about it.  With Project Transformation, we’ll show that great health can be achieved with a minimum time investment, and with only slight lifestyle modifications.  We’re not out to create athletes here, but rather health, happy and productive citizens.  Citizens who will not become a burden to the heathcare delivery system, or to their own (and their family’s) financial well-being.  Because the truth behind the healthcare crisis is this: the diseases that place the most cumulative burden upon the healthcare delivery system are completely preventable — preventable via measures that we at Efficient Exercise both advocate and administer.

Remember this: great health is a birthright, not a privilege afforded to a lucky few.  “Exercise” your right to a healthier, happier you.  If you can do it on your own, fantastic; if you need a little help, though, Efficient Exercise is there to be  your experienced partner for the journey.
